Standardizing the “about” links

What about adding a field where the user can add a link to their “about” page in the administration panel, and a template tag to retrieve that link?

What got me thinking about this it that, for obvious reasons, there are a lot of “about” pages on blogs, and I’ve also noticed that many themes that have various kinds of nav-boxes/tabs/menus have an “about” link already in place. And with the suggested functionality built in users wouldn’t have to edit any templates to point those custom links to the right page.
