My site is completely functional but I have selected for the posts to go to my page titled Blog. For some reason the posts will not show when I set them as “Standard” however if I make them an aside or any other format they do appear on the page. I have downloaded the Display Posts Shortcode plugin and it wasn’t successful. My blog page is located here: https://allstardev.serveradminsite.com/blogs/

I am using a modified version of the Twenty Eleven Theme.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How was your Twenty Eleven theme modified?

Do the Standard posts appear if you temporarily switch to the Twenty Fifteen theme?

Thank you for the reply, James.

I had to make some changes to the css file to force it into the stylings that the customer was looking for. Unfortunately I didn’t make it a child theme.

When I changed over to the Twenty Fifteen theme the posts did show on the selected page.

Thanks in advance for any additional advice.

Ok, so something in the modified theme is probably affecting the display.

Save a copy of the theme locally as a backup, then delete and install a new copy of Twenty Eleven. Do you have the same problem with that?

I found that during the edit process I had created a home.php file that had some issues. I deleted that file and let it fallback to index.php and it worked great. I did have to add the line <h1 class=”entry-title”><?php the_title(); ?></h1> to index.php to get it to show the titles.

Along the way I have somehow lost my footer. One problem resolved and the next one shows up.

Ok, so it is definitely the modified theme. ??

To be honest, I recommend starting over with a fresh copy of the theme, then slowly re-introduce your changes (starting with the style changes) this time as a child theme.
