• I have created two newsletters on my site, one being an automatic newsletter sent three days after subscription, and the other an ad hoc standard newsletter promoting a new product.

I have had no issues with my auto newsletter as far as I am aware.

Yesterday when I set my standard newsletter to send at a scheduled time, everything appeared to run smoothly, with mailpoet reporting that it had been sent to my 200 or so customers.
None of the emails however were shown as opened.

I had a test account linked to that particular subscription list, and when I checked the inbox (inc junk) it had not been received. Furthermore, when I send a preview of that particular newsletter nothing comes through.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Both site and email is hosted by GoDaddy and I send through PHP. Like I say, the automatic newsletter seems to work without issue.

    Many thanks

  • Hi Ponyreitenrockt,

you are only allow to send from your address, if you have the right (mx-)dns setup, iirc there are also detailed information on mail-tester how to fix your spammy issues. Perhaps just have a deeper look.

I just activated WordPress Security firewall (it is still in the learning mode though)and now I cannot send a MailPoet newsletter preview. I never get the email. This process did modify the htaccess file. I am new to WordPress and don’t know much about it. Could there be some conflicts or issues related to the security firewall that is preventing emails going out? If so, how do I determine that…log file? How can I fix it? Thanks.

Ok, I deactivated the WordPress Fence, reactivated it; then I deactivated MailPoet and reactivated it. It took a while but I finally got all the preview emails that I previously set. Sorry for any inconvenience.
    Thanks
