Standard Gallery not resizing images.

    I’m using the included standard gallery feature of WordPress. I’ve made a page of gallery images and set it to “Link to Media File.” This works, but it is using the original huge images. I would like the links to go to “Large Size” images that are being created according to the dimensions under media settings. I have checked via FTP and the resized images are there.

    What do I need to do to change the image size that is being used for the Gallery?

  • Then upload the images of that size. That is the best, most straight forward way of fixing this. Images can be re-sized in many image processing tools. This is likely best, as images uploaded should be optimized for web anyway.

    I would have no problem doing that, but I’m setting up this site for someone much less tech-savvy than me. I figured if WordPress was already resizing them I should be able to use those images.

    Now I found a plugin Resize Image After Upload that looks like it should work for this though.
