• Hi there, I’m looking for advice on managing admin access to multiple websites. My support team is starting to become involved with more WordPress websites for our clients and what I’d like to have is one standardized login that allows our team to access ALL WordPress websites for which we provide assistance.

I’d like our team to be able to use the exact same login information to access the admin area of each website, and if someone leaves our team I’d like to be able to change the password for that standardized login in one place and have that password be changed on all websites with our admin account.

The websites are NOT individual sites in a multisite network. They’re NOT WordPress.com websites. The websites are unique installations hosted at the web host selected by each one of our clients.

    Does such a solution exist?

  • You really need an Agency solution ??

There are several WordPress plugins and services that provide a central dashboard to manage multiple WordPress sites, including 1-click login to individual sites and automation of various maintenance tasks en masse.

I use the awesome (and free) ManageWP service (acquired by GoDaddy a while back, but so far not butchered yet, as big companies often do post-acquisition ?? )

MainWP is self-hosted (you run the manager plugin on one of your WP sites, and the agent plugin on sites to be managed), so you keep all your data in-house and there’s no dependency on an external company.

If you google “WordPress sites manager” (or similar), you’ll find a lot more options. (Sorry, I’m responding from a cellphone in a moving bus, so I’m unable to dig deeper for you ?? )

Very helpful, @gappiah, thank you! I’ll explore those paths you offered.
