Standalone now breaks wp comments

Since the last update (WP or Envira Gallery) activating the standalone gallery addon breaks the comments function. No comment box shows and existing comments (though number is shown) are not shown.

Tested this by disabling all plugins and gradually reactivating them one by one. Standalone is the one that does it. I had to choose between comment-ability and the standalone gallery (which is a major feature of the posts). I didn’t know about the issue with comments until hours after I had made a very popular (for me) post when one of my followers informed me. So no comments and I then disabled standalone which meant the shared links to the standalone galleries were not found. Now I have enabled the standalone again, so no comments possible. ??
