  • Hello @tojoalex1,

Good day! Thanks for using Super Progressive Web Apps. I just checked your website and would like to share that all the PWA features where working perfectly within your website. Also the display is set as standalone within our plugin as default.

Have you tried “Add to Homescreen” via any mobile devices and also tried to open the PWA via the icon from the homescreen?
(Once the I tried your website by adding to homescreen and open it via the icon, the display mode is standalone.)

Hope you’ll try it and update us.

    Thanks Jose,
Thanks for the super fast reply. Yes it is working. The issue is when we access the article from facebook or any other external sources, the article opens in desktop theme. I noticed that it occur to the new articles. Can we redirect the theme to a custom domain? . I mean customize the address from which users access the web app by setting up a custom domain name. Does it solve the issue? The one with good barber type? https://www.goodbarber.com/pwa/

    Thanks for the help.
    Kind regards

When you setup PWA on a website, the “Add to Homescreen” will be prompt from every pages of the website, considered that the user didn’t install the app earlier on their mobile. There’s no redirection possible right now on PWA to a custom domain.

I believe your website is using 2 themes one for desktop (Newspaper) and another for mobile based upon the device size. Isn’t it?

Regarding the Good barber website, it’s just a page with slug “pwa”. If you want to change the starturl of web app, there’s an option within the SuperPWA settings page to change start_url using a drop down menu having all the pages of your website.

    Thanks!
