Stalls when importing wordpress.com content

    Hi there!

    I’m trying to transfer my wordpress.com blog to my self-hosted site, which I purchased and run (host) though NameCheap. When I click TOOLS then upload the exported wordpress.com file, it seems to get stuck about halfway in. I tried starting over and the same thing happened. Is it supposed to take a super long time to import?

    Oh, and I do use www.remarpro.com for my self-hosted site. That’s where I’m trying to import. Thanks!

    Update: I was able to fully import the xml file, but when I clicked the option to import all attachments, it stalled again. Then an error message appeared: “504 Gateway Time-out The server didn’t respond in time.” Any tips?

    I tried again, and received a different error message:
    “Import WordPress
    Sorry, there has been an error.
    The file does not exist, please try again.”

    It looks like all of my images transferred now, so it’s all good! Whew.
