stalls at 43 images

I have a site with thousands of images, so this plugin has been very useful for me.
But on a recent rebuild, the script repeatedly stalls at 43 images. I am only rebuilding a single image size, and only featured images. This is still a lot of images: 1663 featured images in fact. But I think this plugin has run similar tasks before.
