In your new thread seems that you have successfully created a staging site. How did you do that?

The timeout issue is usually caused by the hosting server’s php time limit, so we’d recommend to adjust the following WPvivid Staging settings to increase the task success rate:

1. Set ‘DB Copy Count’ to 5000,
2. Set ‘DB Replace Count’ to 1000.
3. Set ‘Staging Memory Limit’ to 512 MB

i had them on 10K, 10K and 512mb respectively. but had similar settings on other plugins i am testing as well. only faced this error with WPVivid. Wouldn’t this make the process very slow? Other plugins take ~ 5 mints and they estimate total size around 2GB. I am not sure how. It sounds low especially when the wp-content alone is 2.1GB.
I do not know how big the db is.

Different plugins work in different ways. Yes, the values I suggested can slow down the creation process but can increase the success rate. So, these values are recommended in a timeout situation like yours.

Ok. I will follow your instructions.

As for success, i sent you the countdown but it eventually created the site. i actually left it to it and came back to find it complete. I was not there to see what happened.

I will keep testing to see how well it is running

Please let us know whether the staging site is created successfully or not after the progress is done.

BTW, it is recommended to set up PHP Script Execution Timeout to 300 seconds in staging settings.

How do i know “PHP Script Execution Timeout” for staging? and how to set it differently?

You can check the log of ‘creating a staging site’, and see how long does it take for the first timeout error to appear.

From the log you posted, the task timed out in 3 minutes, which suggests your server’s PHP time limit should be 3 minutes(180s), then if you set ‘PHP Script Execution Timeout’ on WPvivid staging settings to 300s, the task will be retried after 300s(very soon after it times out) rather than the default 900s.
