Hi. I have just updated a staging site I have used before in order to test a theme update but when I click on action–>open to launch the staging site it brings up a page wanting me to configure wordpress with database names etc rather than the login for the staging site.

What has gone wrong and how can I rectify?

    Hi @georgiedavies

A quick way to continue your work is to create a new staging site.

However, we would like to take a deep look into this issue, so please share your website link and the system information (WP STAGING > System Info) via this form:

    https://wp-staging.com/support/

We will help you further from there.

    Cheers,

    Alaa

    Hi Alaa

Sure I will send those details over. Is there no way of using the staging site updated this morning. It has already taken a long time to update that?

Updating a staging site will make it look exactly like your live site; that’s why I suggested creating a new staging site instead.

Or did you select only the new theme folder and un-selected everything else while doing the update process?

If that’s the case, let’s continue debugging this issue via the contact form above; I already got your request, and I’ll reply shortly.
