I am doing all our development in a staging site, before I activate this in the live site, I want to know how to export all my settings to the development staging site so that I do not lose configurations. Is this possible ?

    Hello @startechmarketing,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I am doing all our development in a staging site, before I activate this in the live site, I want to know how to export all my settings to the development staging site so that I do not lose configurations.

I haven’t tried this myself, but I don’t think it’s possible considering that the Jetpack connection will record your website URL.

You’ll most likely need to reconfigure everything.

Should you run into any problems in the migration process, please let us know!:?)

I also checked with another plugin CTX feed the way they handle it is
    1. in live site create feed and all options, then export it to the staging
    2. in staging import the exported file so when you are ready to deploy staging to live you keep the settings

Maybe you have a function like this or a workaround ?

    Hi there @startechmarketing ??

I stumbled across this article but it is really techy and I am not sure also

    https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/using-site-kit/staging/

Just to note, the article refers to Site Kit, not Google Listings & Ads.

I’d recommend reaching out to the plugin’s support, which can be accessed via this page:

Maybe you have a function like this or a workaround ?

It would be great to have you add this to the Feature Request Portal, which is a board for our merchants to request features for products:
    https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/google-listings-and-ads/

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
We will be happy to help you further.

    Hi @startechmarketing

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had while trying to submit a feature request.

Let me help clarify things a bit. WooCommerce.com uses your WordPress.com account for login. So, when you’re ready to submit your feature request, our system will ask you to log in using your WordPress.com account.

However, if you are not redirecting to the previous URL after logging in, you may need to revisit it, which is: https://woo.com/feature-requests/google-listings-and-ads/#

Meanwhile, I’ll be marking the thread as solved for now, but feel free to open a new one if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi there @startechmarketing ??

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

login, revisit same thing and I end up here https://wordpress.com/read

Just to clarify, did you have a chance to try with a different browser, and a different device, and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

As there might be an account issue, should the redirection keeps happening after trying the above, please contact us at Woo.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.
