Staging Custom URL once pushed to production

    Thank you Rene. And what about the legacy Pages from the current production site, will those be moved into “Draft” so I can then set up the proper Redirect instructions?

    Hello Allen,

    The data from the staging site including all pages will overwrite the pages on the production site. Pages that do not exist on the staging site will be deleted. This is an overwriting process and no merge.

    If you have pages that you delete on the staging site but you want to keep the URL’s and want to create redirects for them, then you should implement the redirects beforehand on the staging site as well. They will be copied over to the live site as well if you use a redirection plugin for creating them.

    Ok, so if I have the legacy pages from the old production site in Draft status in my staging site, those draft pages will come through into the new production site as “Drafts” with their legacy URLs once I push staging to production?
