Stable version of 2.7?

  • When will a stable version of 2.7 be released?

    Just reading the trouble-call posts in this forum are more than enough to scare me away from upgrading to 2.7.

    It would be really nice if one or more of the developers would occasionally drop by and make a post letting us know they are aware of certain issues and working on it.

    So to sum up: When will the devs fix 2.7?
    I realize the help given here is “free” and I also realize that this is open source and I am paying nothing for WordPress. I do however realize that I have been using WordPress now for over 2 years and if I knew back then what I know now (total lack of help/support from WordPress), I would have gone with another platform.

    Too late now, I’m stuck with WordPress.

  • 2.7 is stable. Don’t forget that the trouble posts that you see here represent a minority of the the many thousands of users. Often the faults are user issues, or quirky server configuration.

    total lack of help/support from WordPress

    Seems to me there is a lot of free help on these forums. I haven’t seen another blog platform (free or paid) that can touch WordPress, so I’m not sure what other direction you could have gone with and received better free help.

    I understand your hesitance to upgrade, but I’ve upgraded several blog to 2.7 and all seem to be working fine.
