Stable current version

I’m about to setup an ecommerce site, and it seems that with so many people running this plugin, this might be a great place to start setting up an ecommerce site.

I’ve read a few other forums where people are having problems with the current version (database being overloaded with temporary users). Does anyone have a recommendation of a very stable version of the plugin? After I finish setting this up for myself (which isn’t a big deal even if it’s not stable), I’ll be setting one up for a client, and I want to make sure that they have the most features available, but more importantly have a very stable site.
