Hello,

I am using really simple ssl on https://www.infogroupglobal.com wordpress site.

Yesterday the certificate expired and the site started giving warnings. When I want to renew the certificate from within the WordPress panel, I click on Realy Simple SSL settings, but a blank page opens. When I want to renew via cPanel, I get maximum user exceeded error

I’m not a web developer, I’m a web designer, but I don’t have a colleague at my company who understands this, so I need to solve this problem. Please help me with that.

Did you install your SSL certificate through Really Simple SSL? And are you using the latest version of Really Simple SSL (6.1)?

For the maximum user warning I would recommend to check with your hosting company. They should be able to help you with that.

Yes i checked, I’m using 6.1.0 version of Really Simple SSL.

I downloaded the certificate with really simple ssl 90 days ago and it was working fine. After 90 days, the certificate expired and I had to renew it. Unfortunately, the Settings page is currently showing as a blank page. When I enter my domain to use The Let’s Encrypt Wizard via https://really-simple-ssl.com/install-ssl-certificate/, it still throws me at the same blank page (page is not loading) . So I can’t get a certificate again.

Can you check in the console what the error is that is occurring? (right click on screen, then “inspect”, “console”.

Then I can check where the issue is.

It’s indeed the certificate that is blocking this, as the site is forced over SSL. Can you check if you can access the page in another browser, Safari/Firefox, on the certificate warning you can select to trust the website? This seems to work better in Safari then in Chrome. Maybe Firefox as well. It’s strange that after you have accepted the certificate in the browser, the javascript files are still blocked.

Alternatively, you can choose to force your site back to http: https://really-simple-ssl.com/uninstall-websitebackend-not-accessible/

A third option is to set your browser to trust the certificate, which is also possible, but a bit more work, like described here for example: https://www.pico.net/kb/how-do-you-get-chrome-to-accept-a-self-signed-certificate/
