• Hi all,

    I’m getting this error message:
Stripe Error: WooCommerce is not being forced over SSL; your customer’s credit card data is at risk.

I have an SSL certificate, and as of now my website is showing the https:// and little padlock. Every time I turn on the “force woocomerce over SSL” it royally screws up my website.

As far as I know, security shouldn’t be an issue since I have the https. why is this error continuing to be thrown– how do I turn it off?

    The details:

    my website: https://www.fluterscooter.com
I have the most current version of Woocommerce with a 3rd party STRIPE extension plugged in. I also have a HTTPS plugin that was recommended to install.

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • I’m having the same issue. Did you ever get this resolved.

So don’t use HTTPs plugin with the force checkout over ssl option. I would recommend you just turn off the HTTPS plugin and use the “force” option instead.

@royho I don’t think doing this is an option if you want to have https forced across all pages on the domain.

In my case, I’m forcing ssl with a plugin for every page. And I still get the woocommerce stripe warning. But if I check the woocommerce force ssl option, I get a warning from my other plugin that there could be a conflict, so I uncheck the woo force option.

Ideally, woocommerce should recognize if ssl is already forced on the checkout pages, and if so, no longer display the warning.
