SSL Error, Please HELP ASAP

Hi,
I was reading on line on how to have my website secure (https) instead of (http), and it shows that it can be done at the back end of admin dashboard, and in setting section, we only replace the http by https and then save it.
Once I made this changes, I was unable to access the website AT ALL.
Please help on how to fix this PROBLEM.
