    I have just installed Really Simple SSL on my site and activated the SSL. All works fine on Chrome and Edge but I get this error on Firefox;

    An error occurred during a connection to gmrt.org.uk. A required TLS feature is missing. Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_REQUIRED_TLS_FEATURE_MISSING

    Any ideas how to fix this?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @bsamar99,

    The REQUIRED_TLS_FEATURE_MISSING error is related to OCSP Stapling.

    Your SSL certificate likely has the “must staple” TLS extension enabled (you can disable the “OCSP Stapling” slider when generating an SSL certificate in Really Simple SSL, to generate an SSL certificate without this).

    And this requires OCSP stapling to be available on your webserver, which doesn’t appear to be the case on your server. Therefore Firefox (and other browsers) will reject the connection, as your certificate requires OCSP Stapling, but the webserver does not staple an OCSP response.

    Therefore you can either:

    – Enable OCSP stapling on your webserver (you would have to contact your Hosting Provider for assistance with that)

    – Generate a new SSL certificate without the “must staple” extension enabled (disable the “OCSP Stapling” slider when generating an SSL certificate in Really Simple SSL and install the new certificate on your webserver)

    Hope it helps!
    Kind regards, Jarno
