I have replaced my subdomain to my root domain on wordpress. Then, i activated SSL for the root domain via Really Simple SSL plugin. But, it is not configured correctly and I have received errors like this:

    “testing htaccess rules…
test page url, enter in browser to check manually:
htaccess rules test failed with error: cURL error 51: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘tigerlab.com’
checking if .htaccess can or should be edited…
.htaccess does not contain default Really Simple SSL redirect
    retrieving redirect rules
converting siteurl and homeurl to https
Mixed content fixer could not be detected: cURL error”

Do you know what’s the solution for this? Your help is very much appreciated!

  • Support for SSL is something that needs to be done on the server level, i.e. outside of WordPress. Check the admin panel of your hosting provider or contact their customer support about enabling HTTPS/SSL.
If/when SSL already works on your site, then Really simple SSL can help you fixing problems with blocking of mixed content (where a page is loaded over https but some of its resources are requested via http and thus may be blocked by some browsers).
