• Bonjour,

    Cordialement.

  • WordPress does not issue or manage SSL certificates. That’s the job of your hosting server.

Please contact your host OVH for help with this.

You may also try the Really Simple SSL plugin to see if you can use it to generate a free SSL certificate from LetsEncrypt (though it doesn’t work in some hosting environments).

Please note: there’s an active (but independently-run) French-language WordPress support forum here: https://wpfr.net/support/

    Good luck!

    Hi George,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. From what I understood and what I saw everything is right from our host side. However we are still encountering this issue. I’ve been told that it came out of nowhere and that the website was working 2 weeks ago.

I get a message error the from extension “Really simple SSL” on WordPress.

Could you please give me a hand ?

    Regards,

    Gregory

You’re looking at the wrong thing then.

The website clearly shows the SSL certificate is issued for hosting.cdn.ovh.net and doesn’t cover your domain axdisprime.fr.

Certificates are installed on the hosting server. WordPress does not control or manage SSL certificates, and there’s nothing we can do here to help you resolve that.

If you’re still unconvinced, try this simple test:

Place an image or any static file in the root of your site and try to open the image in your browser (incognito mode or guest window). In fact, here is one there already: https://axdisprime.fr/license.txt

WordPress is not involved at all in opening this static text file. Yet you’ll see exactly the same SSL certificate mismatch error, telling you the problem has nothing to do with WordPress.

That’s what I noticed too. However the IT department who were in contact with OVH assured me that everything’s good so I relied on their expertise… I’ll ask them to check again with the host by sending them screenshots.

I’ll get back to you if needed.

    Merci ??
