I’m suddenly getting this error message:

There has been an error with the API: There has been an error with your request: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

It’s been working perfectly for several years now and just started over the past 24 hours. I have checked with my host LiquidWeb and the SSL certificate is up to date, we have PHP 7.4 and everything else up to date.

They seem to be at a loss on this error as I am.

    Any help please?

    Thank you.

This seems to be a misconfiguration of the webserver where the Publish to Apple News plugin is running. This error is being reported by cURL, which is a pretty low-level program for making HTTP requests, and it indicates that it’s not able to make the SSL handshake with Apple’s servers. It’s possible that your webserver needs some software updates to ensure that it’s compatible with the latest version of the TLS protocol that Apple uses.
