    Check here

    https://www.idinz.me/family/

Notice the top most image in not being displayed as full width. This has been driving me nuts, i dont get it. On square tile galleries where it uses 2 smaller images for the top their combined width width will be 100%

If however it uses a single images it seems to appear as 90% or something.

How can i fix this? Be advised i also use photon, i know photon seems to resize images as well.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

That’s weird indeed. Does it happen in other galleries as well? If the problem is specific to that particular gallery, could you try to reupload this image, and let me know if it helps?

Yes it happens in all square tiles galleries when it chooses one large image as the top. I’ve tried going in and dragging and dropping different images in that spot in they all shrink up like that.

Could you try to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, and let me know if you find a conflicting plugin?

    Thanks!

    Hello sir

per your request i deactivated all plugins except jetpack (as it powers the gallery) and it made no difference, even reloading and deleting the cache.

It seems to be jetpack doing this, its only the square tiles gallery.

I did deactivate other jetpack modules except tiles galleries and that didn’t do it either.

I wonder if the problem could not be caused by the size of the image in question. Could you try to upload a much larger image in this particular gallery?

If that solves the issue, we’ll need to look at the code used to generate the Tiled Galleries again, because you might have found a bug!

    Hello sir

thanks for help with this matter. IT doesn’t seem to want to cooperate. When i upload a large image like you ask 2070 × 1489

then suddenly the gallery decides to use 2 square images up top instead of 1 single image like before….

That’s probably because you then have a pair number of images, so Jetpack recalculates and resizes the images to create a rectangular gallery. What happens when you remove one image from the gallery, and place that new large image as the first image of the gallery?

    (@stevedmma)

Your right, so i deleted an image and got back to one large image up top.

It still resized it ?? again, this image that im using as the top image was uploading at 2070 × 1489 which is pretty big, not sure i have many images over that, and it still resized it…..

Could you try to switch to one of the default themes for a few minutes, and let me know if it changes anything?

yup it still does it with the 2014 theme. it doesn’t appear to be as drastic but if your ocd like me then you can definitely tell.

I think its safe to call it a bug now…. ??

Oh it is definitely a bug ??
I’m just not sure why I can’t reproduce the issue on my end.

Would you mind contacting us via email, and creating a temporary admin account on your site so we can run some tests? If you mention this thread in your email, I’ll follow up with you.

    Thanks!

I seem to be running into a similar problem, but it is not consistent. On this page the first image in the square tile gallery is enlarged. However, on the same site, same theme, on this page all the images are the same size.

Both galleries have the same settings – but the formatting is applied differently. Would the number of images in the gallery make an impact?

@stephen Our developers are looking into it, and I gave them your example as well. I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.
