Square Payment Gateway Not Working Properly

  • Hello! We have two gateways enabled on this site, Square and PayPal. We only want to use Square (we only enabled PayPal to test). Our site is using Hello + Elementor in addition to CrocoBlock JetAppointments (which we have integrated with WooCommerce).

    The Square payment gateway works under this condition:

    *When I am logged in to the WP backend and visit the site, I can go ahead and book an appointment and pay for it using Woo’s Square integration. This is the case on Chrome and Safari.

    The Square payment gateway does not work under this condition:

    *When I visit the site while not logged in (on Chrome or Safari, in private and non-private tabs). I go ahead and make all the selections for the appointment, but when I get taken to the checkout page, I can not see any credit card input fields for this payment method (they are not there).

    I have spent hours with CrocoBlock support over this. They had me disable the JetWoo builder plugin (which is still disabled) and have confirmed (according to them) that it is not a CrocoBlock plugin issue and instructed me to reach out here.

    Hello @writesync,

    This sounds like a conflict between your appointment plugin (or another plugin, or your theme) and the Square plugin. The only way to know for sure is to perform a full conflict test. Here are instructions on how to do a thorough, full test: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    If in your testing you find that there is indeed an issue with WooCommerce Square in absence of any other plugins (except WooCommerce itself) while on a default theme such as Storefront, please either post your findings on the WooCommerce Square Support Forum or contact WooCommerce.com support with a link to this forum thread to follow up on the issue.

    If the issue only arises in conjunction with the appointment system, then you’ll have to likely contact that plugin author’s support; I recommend performing that conflict test, since isolating the issue to the bare minimum configuration which expresses the error is very important for troubleshooting.

    Since this question addresses the WooCommerce Square plugin which is not part of the core WooCommerce plugin, I’m marking this issue as resolved.
