There is an issue now. Our Square item library keeps changing to 1 location instead of All Location. This affects us a lot because the item won’t be scanned. To fix this problem, our staff has to manually change it back to All Location on Square. This issue happened after the integration between WordPress and Square. Can you look into this problem please?

To let you understand what I am talking about, please see the screenshot below. This is a screenshot from Square Dashboard where the item library is. As you can see, under the red circle “Locations”, it supposes should be all showing as “All Locations”, but some items will change to “Social pets Bernard” instead of “All locations”. When this happens, this item won’t scan when the customer buys it in the shop, so our staff has to find this item in the library list first, then change it back to “All Location”, then sell it to the customer.?

The 1st?times when these issues happened it happened after we have done the integration of WordPress and Square and uploaded the products. When we found out the issue, we manually changed them back to All Locations. Last Friday, these issues happened again. They changed back to 1 location instead of All Locations. We just fixed them again.

Also it’s showing just 1 stock quantity for the products instead of the actual number on square. SS attached.

Please check and let me know what I’m doing wrong. as im running a big business and can’t go back and forth again and again to edit products. It’s time consuming. Please advise.

    Hello @sakina990,

Based on my testing, as long as the SKUs match, everything should be synced properly. :?)

Could you please provide the following information so we can replicate the issue?

    • Please check if the product is sold “ONLY” in one location which is not the one set in WooCommerce > Settings > Square.
    • Please specify whether the SKU is added to the variable product globally from the inventory tab in product settings or in the variation settings.
    • Additionally, please attach full uncropped screenshots of a test product’s settings from both Square’s end and WooCommerce. In WooCommerce, please make sure to include the variation settings as well as global product settings.

Feel free to use Imgur or Snipboard to attach the screenshots.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

This is how I’m adding the SKUs. When I installed square, and imported all the products from there, the plugin was fine and showed the products with their quantity how they were on the square,

but now i have broken those products into more smaller chunks on basis of their size. like the product A had 1 size and different taste variations, i have reversed this in my woocomm. i have put 1 taste with various size variations, but since the SKUs are same so this shouldn’t be a problem however i arrange the products right?

Did you permanently delete the previous products that were occupying the same SKUs when you broke these products down into smaller chunks, or are they still available on your site?

Additionally, have you attempted to re-import products from Square, and could you please answer the rest of my questions above? :?)

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Did you permanently delete the previous products that were occupying the same SKUs when you broke these products down into smaller chunks, or are they still available on your site? >> They were in trash but i have completely removed them now. Still the error persist.

Additionally, have you attempted to re-import products from Square, >> If I do so, the products again will be imported in a wrong way with wrong attributes which i dont want on my website. since they were all merges with different taste in 1 size, now i have merged them with same taste and different sizes, what’s done in square, i have done opposite of it here in woo commerce.

Attaching all the screenshots with square and woocommerce inventory so that you can compare the SKUs and check the stock level.

Please check if the product is sold “ONLY” in one location which is not the one set in WooCommerce > Settings > Square. >> The products are sold in ALL Locations settings in Square but in woocommerce i’m selecting bernard. SS attached.

I have attached my square settings and also the woocommerce settings.

Also, one more thing i noticed is that the products which are single not variants, all are showing stock value 1 when synced with square.

Please help me with this as this is being problematic for my store. ??

    Hello @sakina990,

I can’t reproduce this on my test site, the stock, price and everything else is synced correctly. :/

Per the product sync documentation, if a product was created in Square after importing products from Square, it will not be updated or synced. Therefore, re-importing products may be necessary here.

Before proceeding, it might be worth trying to delete orphaned variations, perhaps the deleted variations that were occupying the same SKUs are still in your database causing problems. You can find this tool in WooCommerce > Status > Tools:

If the stock is still not synced after trying both suggestions, then please open a ticket from WooCommerce.com > MY profile > Support so we can look further into this.

If you do, make sure to include a link to this thread so we know what has been done already.

Let us know how it goes!

I did both, nothing happened. ??

I have submitted a request. Please check and let me know what’s wrong. As i said before, i can’t re-import. It will import the products just the way they are in my square dashboard. but i dont want it to be the same way on my website. Also,

Per the product sync documentation, if a product was created in Square after importing products from Square, it will not be updated or synced. Therefore, re-importing products may be necessary here >> all the products were first created in square, and then I have created them in my woocommerce store and adding the SKUs one by one. On my square account there are many products which i dont want to add on my online store, and the product schema there is different, as i said before. SS attached. https://snipboard.io/U6g3fK.jpg this is a product with same size and different taste on my square profile. but here in woo commerce, i have chopped this product into 6 different simple products SKUs are same however, now if i import from square, the product with the handle Acana Cat Can 85g will be imported in my woocommerce, but i dont want a variable product here. getting my point? instead, i want this product to be chopped down to 6 simpler products. I think I’m much more clear now? Please advise ??

It’s been 2 days already. I cant wait longer. Please tell me what happened?

    Was this ever actually resolved?

I am having the same issue where Items in Square are having their Location reset to a single Location value instead of All Locations. My staff at different locations are then unable to see Items.

    (@babylon1999)

    Hello @jeffvenuti,

I understand you have the same problem but we need to handle each request individually in forums.
Please open your own thread and make sure to include the following:

    • Your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.
    • Some screenshots that describe the issue.?

    Thank you!
