Square Image Hover Effect Displaying Link Color

I installed the widget, and it has performed well until recently. Some of the title text is displayed in white, which is what I want, and entered in the style section. Some titles are displayed in blue, and upon viewing the source code I see that a link is embedded in the title.
I checked all the settings in the widget, and they are the same for the ones that are displaying properly as well as the ones that are not. I even tried duplicating the properly functioning columns and then changing the text and image, but still get the same problem.
I tried making a new column for the widget, same result.

Any ideas why this is happened and how can I get around it
