I have a client that wants to create a composite product. There are two real products: Picture Frame and a shadow box. The components are rales and stiles, mats, glass, matt customization, mounting and backing. Essentially a customer can create a custom shadowbox display and the company will build it for them. The problem is there are over 1000 mats and 1000 styles of rales and stiles and entering the data one piece at a time is incredibly laborious. I know you can insert via the API but that is taking a lot of time and full of errors. Is there a SQL script that can create the base product and then write directly into MySQL the components based on the data loaded for the product?

    Hi @cedaly1968 ,

In your case, you can use our plugin: WPC Product Quantity, it’ll allow you to set a large step for each option. However, the free version only allows universal settings, to set the quantity setting for individual products, you need a Premium license. Or you can kindly contact our developers via this page. They’ll give you instructions on this.

    Best regards.

I am not sure your plugin will load products and all of the custom variants for the products for woocommorece composite products – that is the problem I am running into. Technically, there are only two products: Picture Frames and Shadowboxes – they just have several composite options and from there over 1000 options. A Picture Frame includes rales and stile – one option is the length, one if the type of material, one is the type of finish, one is the type of moulding and that’s how the frame is picked and then there is mats for mounting – number of mats, shadows, colors, patterns and then the glass. All those variants are a subset of a single product.

    Hi @cedaly1968 ,

For your case, you can contact our developers via this page and give them as more detailed as possible including the link to your site/ composite product, screenshots of product settings, info about other WooCommerce plugins and theme you’re using so that our devs can find a solution faster. The more detailed, the better. Please note that it might take some time for our devs to work things out.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards.
