SQL Error

  • Hi
    I am currently trying to start a site for one of my clients and he want the wordpress files to be on his server, the server has php on it but not SQL. So I was thinking about setting up the SQL on my server. All went well until I put in the DB info, then when I go to the site it says
    “Error Establishing Database connection” dose this two server combo work with word press and do yo have any other suggestions on what I could do?

  • it will work as long as the mysql server is set to accept outside connections

    I think I may have the same problem…..Site on one IP, MySQL and PHP on another…same machine, just different IP addresses.

    How do I set the mysql server to accept outside connections. thanks, WCW
