I recently noticed that this backup plugin generates two (2) data base files. One of the file names contains the word “Core”, and the other contains the word “plugin”.

When doing a restore at the host server (Godaddy), there is only one file listed to replace. Neither of these new backup files which occur in the _DB_Backup folder are automatically placed in the pull down menu in the host restore operation. I have to move them manually with the FTP client. Does anyone know how to handle this new double file issue? I’m use to having to handle only one SQL data base file to work with. I get the feeling that you can restore only one file or the other? Which is unacceptable.

Also I wonder about backups that seem to end at about 50 to 60% and then say backup complete. Really?

    Mike

PS Id like to go back to a capability to put backups to a dropbox folder of my choosing.

    Mike.

    Gday mate,

The SQL dump files are split up for performance reasons. When restoring your database, all you need to do is run each of the files to get your blog back up.

I am not sure how Godaddy restore works, but if you cant do one file then the other, I would consider using something like PHPMyAdmin to restore your DB.

The percent complete is just a guide and it can be inaccurate for the first few backups. Over time it should become better.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Mikey
