    Hi Guys and Gals,
I just took over managing a site for a client and I have found .SQL backup files in the site root that can be downloaded. Obviously this is not good. I have removed the .SQL files accordingly.

I’m trying to understand if there is any sensitive WooCommerce data (or other WordPress data) that is stored in there that should be cause for concern or panic.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • It sure is! Anything that was stored on the site is stored in the DB and in turn SQL. Even credit cards if that was an option they had set and were signed up with Transarmor.

I can’t believe someone put a sql file on a server. Totally accessible.
