Spun newbie, help with circles

  • Hi, I have loaded this theme, and am not really sure about the circles. I don’t have any on my website, I have put a gallery of photos on one page, but these are square and rectangle.

    I think I may have missed the point of the circles, however, I really like the theme and I would like to use them.

    Are these only part of the premium theme?

    What is the function? Are they for the shape of your photos, or are they for a hyperlink function?

    Also, I am not sure what version of wordpress I am using, so I chose 3.0, but I am not sure how to check.
