    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Using <div>s is the right solution, but you will need to be careful with white space: All HTML code must be on one line, without any manual line breaks.
    Another reason might be that your theme adds extra margins or paddings to the <div>s.
    Can you therefore please post a link to the page with the table in question, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    thanks for the link!

    The white space is indeed coming from the code. The CSS classes “icon” and “margin” that are used in the code add that extra padding and margin.

    You should either remove those from the HTML, or override the padding and margin, if they are in a table, e.g. with

    .tablepress-id-4 .icon,
    .tablepress-id-4 .margin {
      padding: 0px !important;
      margin: 0px !important;
    }
