    Hi there,

We’ve been using your plugin on our site for a while but have started encountering issues. It seems like some of this was due to the Google URLs requiring a value like /edit at the end of the link, but one issue seems to have arisen that wasn’t there before. For some reason, some of the sheets aren’t displaying fully until you click an arrow on the “county” section.

This is what it looks like when people first view the sheet: https://www.rosen.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Spreadsheet-Screenshot-02.png

After they click that arrow to the right of “County”, it displays the way it should (ignore the “a hrefs”): https://www.rosen.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Spreadsheet-Screenshot-03.png

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

*We had hired someone to create a patch that allowed the a href values to function properly, but that patch does not seem to work with the new Google URLs. We’re working on employing another approach to this issue, but do not want to put the sheets live until this is resolved. If a live version is required to solve this, I will put one up.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

The display issue is almost certainly because you’re using the shortcode inside a tabbed view. See other posts on this forum about that.

As for the <a href stuff, um, you should probably fire that person and/or ask for your money back. You don’t need to patch this plugin to make HTML work. In fact, you shouldn’t, because it’ll stop working when I release an update. There’s a sticky thread on this forum that describes how to do that. Secondly, if they do it right, the fact of using old or new style Google Sheets will have zero impact on the HTML output.

Yeah, I don’t know who was hired to make the patch, it was before I started working here months ago, but for whatever reason it didn’t work with the simple changes. The patch also customized the look of the sheets beyond just making the links work, but that’s besides the point. I’ll be employing your <a href suggestions but wanted to look for an alternative to editing functions first since you explicitly state that it’s not the best solution.

Thanks for your response. I will try to figure it out from what others have written.
