    Hey there,

Love the plugin. I’ve encountered issues when updating a podcast post, though. So, quick background: After publishing an episode, I realized I’d attached the wrong file and updated the mp3 on the post.

Some services –?Spotify, Google Play Music – cache your file and don’t make it easy to re-crawl the feed. Spotify told me, if I update my MP3 URL, it’ll trigger a re-crawl. Now, the file itself has a different URL, but the link to it in the feed (https://spookymag.com/podcast-download/257358/11-winfluence.mp3?ref=download, e.g.) is still the same. Other than updating the post slug which I’d prefer not to do, is there a way to force this URL to update itself? Is the “257358” number based on something that can be edited?

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks so much.

  • Hello @scallemang,

Happy to hear you are loving working with Seriously Simple. As a work around for your issue, you can try deleting the post, deleting the podcast in your Castos account if you are using Castos hosting, and creating a brand new post with new attachment that is name slightly different.

Hope that helps and don’t forget to leave a review for the plugin. It makes the team’s day ??
