Sports ground reservation

Love the look and feel and flexibility of this, hoping I can make it work for my particular need, but could do with advice on best set-up regarding Services/Workers/Connections.
I am setting up a bowls club rink reservation, where one Location (green) split into 6 ‘rinks’. I just need members to be able to reserve one-hour bookings, and when all 6 rinks for that time slot are allocated, time is blocked – they do not choose the rink. So I started with the whole green being a Worker, with a 6-slot Connection to the Service called ‘member reservation’ – this worked as a start, but I’m not sure it’s best solution.

HOWEVER how do I allow a club admin to block all or part of day in one go without creating 6 appointments for each hour? This must be built-in, to deal with, say worker(s) not being available for defined period (holiday etc) – I just can’t seee best way. Please advise!
