Split Page (not Posts) into multiple pages

    I’d like to split a Page into multiple pages. I am building a local directory and don’t want one long page of listings, but would rather split them up into manageable pages. I’ve read about the <!–nextpage–> tag for posts, but I’d like to do this with a Page. Is this possible? I’ve tried to place the <!–nextpage–> tag on the Page, but it doesn;t work.
