SPLIT HOME PAGE half "master slider" Half posts

  • Hi all,

    I’m trying to create a split homepage.

    The top of the page will be a master slider plugin gallery of “featured” posts

    Then underneath I want my posts displayed as normal (preferably 4 or 5 then a more posts button”)

    I’ve found a bunch of “add posts to page” plugins but the posts don’t display as they usually would if I had set the home page to display posts only. The current one I’m using is posts to page by ivy cat web services. It only shows the title and text no images etc.

    I would link to the site but I can’t as I’m working offline.

  • Your best bet is to look for a Theme that will do that – there are literally thousands of free WP Themes, some will support sliders with our without an included plugin, but there are also a lot of “premium” (i.e. ‘paid’) Themes that do also.

    Start with the Themes repository here,

    Then branch out using Google to search for ‘wordpress theme with slider” or variations on that, and you’ll find hundreds that aren’t in the repository.
