Split email notification for update and signup

Would it be possible to have two different email configurations to distinguish between a record update and a new signup?

In the organisation I use this plugin for, there are different persons for handling the different tasks. And I get complaints that the person handling the signups is flooded with update notifications.

Hope this could be implemented in a next release.
