Spinning Arrows

We have used Contact Form 7 for a while without any problems but were recently contacted by a user who was unable to submit the form and it showed a spinning arrow indefinitely. I am assuming that it was caused by some temporary network issues.

The only way that I could recreate this was to load the page then disconnect the internet connection and try to submit the form. I was wondering if it would be possible to show some kind of error message in this situation?
