    Do you have an infinite scroll plugin enabled (or have that feature enabled in Jetpack)?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    I only had google analytics dashboard for wp – google analytics for wordpress by monsterinsights and slimpack as active plug ins.
    I looked into slimpack and – the infinite scroll box was checked.
    I unchecked it and the problem was solved!!!

    slimpack is no longer in the WordPress plugin repository and is no longer maintained — you should probably remove it from your site.
