About a year ago, Spider Events Calendar completely broke my blog, to the degree that it would no longer display online.

I used FTP to delete a line of code it had corrupted or miswritten and stopped using it.

Today, I updated to 4.2.2, updated Spider Events Calendar, and activated the calendar. Since that time i can not save any changes to the blog. That includes not being able to delete Spider Events Calendar.

Here is an error message I got: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/massengale/public_html/streetsbook/wp-content/plugins/xcalendar/calendar.php:6219) in /home/massengale/public_html/streetsbook/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1196.

I have looked at both files and have no idea how to fix this. If you know, please assume that I am a complete novice at WordPress code.

    thanks

    Dear johnnyc22,

The stated issue is not cause by our plugin, but instead xcalendar plugin, which you can see from the code part. If you want to delete our calendar you should do so using ftp. Most likely our calendar and x calendar plugins cannot work together causing the conflict. Thank you.

Thank you! I guess I should have said “xcalendar broke my blog again.”

FTP is no problem, but WordPress code is Greek to me. Can you tell me EXACTLY how to remove xcalendar?

Will my blog then work again, or will I also need to remove problematic code?

    thanks again

    Dear johnnyc22,

You should go to the plugins folder (that’s usually wp_plugins folder within the WordPress main folder) where you can find the xcalendar package and remove it entirely. After that your blog should be back. You will have to avoid using it after that since reinstalling it might cause the same problem. Thank you.
