Hi. I’m able to send test emails successfully after following all directions to set up a Google Workspace mailer. The proper SPF record is added at my domain host (Cloudflare). After sending a test email from the plugin, I still get:

Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the SPF record required by Google has been added to your domain.

I combed through solved tickets and followed every bit of advice here but don’t see a way to keep the error from showing. The SPF record I used is: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all

I did follow the link found here https://mxtoolbox.com/deliverability and MXToolbox shows the SPF as valid (but strangely says DKIM is incorrect even though your plugin says it’s valid, and I’m quite sure the correct DKIM record is installed at the domain host).

This isn’t a propagation issue as these settings have been in place for weeks.

    Thanks

    Hi @blatka,

Thanks for reaching out! Do you use the same Gmail mailer authenticated domain to send emails from your site? You can check and update the “from email address” under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page.

Also, you can send a test email (WP Mail SMTP -> Tools) to this tool to test further.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

    Hello @darshanaw,

Yes, the from email is the same domain as the Gmail mailer (fundmifuture.org).

Sending to the spam tool you suggest shows valid SPF, valid DKIM, valid DMARC. But the WP Mail Domain Check Results still show:

Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the SPF record required by Google has been added to your domain. Please check out Google’s SPF guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.

    Any other suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi @blatka,

I have reported this issue to our developers, and we noticed a glitch.

Could you please go to your WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page and click on the “Save Settings” button and then try sending a test email.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!
