Speeding up the Form loading time

    I’ve noticed that with this plugin, when I load a page where it should be displayed, there is a small delay ( a couple os seconds ) before it shows up.

    I’ve tried some other mail chimp plugins before and the form just load with the page (no delays).

    Is this common with this plugin? Any way to try to speed it up? Page load time is a Google ranking metric.

    There are a couple of ways to load in the form. One would be to load it with the page like the other plugins (this slows down the entire page from loading because it has to wait for Mailchimp API) this would actually effect your google rank.

    The other way (the way we chose) loads the form after the page has loaded. That way the page loads as fast as possible without regard to how long it takes Mailchimp API to respond. This should have no effect on google rank.

    Having said that it is possible for us to add an option to disable that feature. We have some code in place already in preparation for this exact question. I can add it to the list of updates if you would like?

    OK. Makes sense.

    But I do believe it would be nice to give user the option to turn this on or off.
