Speeding up a photography-oriented blog

  • I’m using the Lensa theme and it’s necessary quite slow and laggy. Here’s my blog page so you can see:

    I’ve installed W3 Total Cache and some other plugins but they don’t seem to help all that much. Is there anything else I can do? I’m hosting via BlueHost, and I’m not sure how reliable they are or how to even tell if it’s BlueHost being slow and not the theme/content itself

    Just tried it but I’m getting a 500 Internal Server Error even though the site is definitely up and running. Any ideas what’s up?

    edit2: so for some reason when W3 is activated, my site just doesn’t work at all. With it deactivated, GTmetrix works and I’m reading the recommendations now but I’m not entirely sure how to fix it since most of the issues arise from the .css files that I have no idea how to mess with
