• Effectively describing your website to search engines is a fundamental part of every web presence and there are a heap of tools out there which attempt to assist in this intricate task. I have used them all over the past 25 years and I’ve had some great successes with many of them. Now there’s a new player in the field which comes in head and shoulders above the rest.
The most significant difference of Rank Math is the speed, all SEO plugins tend to slow the website down to a crawl and I’ve never understood why this needed to be so. Since installing Rank Math I’ve seen dramatic improvements in page load times across the board.
The second significant benefit of Rank Math is the user interface: Although some plugins seem to think that installing a plugin is enough for SEO across the site, per post/product/page optimization is the only effective method. Rank Math adopts this approach providing concisely defined tools and hints so well, there’s no learning curve. It doesn’t bog down the editor with heavy re-parsing, obtrusive widgets or interfere with your general workflow. It uses standard meta boxes which are intelligently designed to provide access to what you need, when you want it. And for anything custom I was easily able to find the hooks in the documentation.
Of course I was skeptical of any plugin professing to be the best in SEO but I tentatively installed it on a few “quiet” sites to analyze the SERPs and to see if Rank Math could win where I’d been failing. Sure enough after just a week or so I could see a 10-15% improvement in my page ranks, higher visitor counts and better visibility due to the improved microformats via json-ld.
Lastly is the support. Support is a very important part of any plugin that you might be spending a significant amount of your time using. When I registered I was emailed by the developers and asked if there’s anything they could do for me, I replied and since then we’ve had a healthy back and forth conversation. There’s also a very healthy community forum and regular tips and sources for worth while resources across the internet. I couldn’t be happier.
