Speed up thumbnail display

Excellent plugin, just a couple of things I’d like to mention –
1. The image selection thumbnails take a long time to render (300 images, 2-3 minutes). I can appreciate a delay on first run as they appear to be cached, but why so long after that? I have about 300 images, but even 50 would take longer than I would like. The WP media library shows them in seconds, can anything be done to speed this up?2. Small bug – I added an image with a link to the full size version. All fine. I then changed the image to a different one, but the link still references the previous image.
