  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

That’s the compromise of having scripts & images with large file sizes https://snag.gy/speam.jpg

i think its a hosting problem . Which server you are using ?

tried sorting the plug ins and nothing seems to have helped, i am using bluehost. Just cant seem to understand whats slowing it down, i used to have a flash based gallery and quickly got rid, and now only have at the moment a small image in the NextGen gallery and it still takes an age. Thanks everyone for helping out by the way.

    Regards

i also got same problem but that actually was on server side and my host support corrected it for me like your website is . You can check it on pingdom.com tools , they tell reason of slowing down your site is due to dns and connection lag . so better contact your host support .
