    Update:

Even when nothing is checked (default settings) for Speed Booster, it fails the Mobile-Friendly Test.

I’m also wondering if there is a solution for this

Strange. I am using it with multiple sites and all pass for me. I just came here looking for insight on a different issue and saw your post which made we wonder if I had the same problem so I just checked and it passes. Sorry if my response doesn’t help you specifically, but in general when things like this happen there is often a plugin conflict and the usual advice is to deactivate your plugins and see if that changes the situation. If so, then you know you have a conflict. Then re-enable your plugins one by one and see which is causing the conflict. If you do find a conflict, do report back which one as I guess the developer would like to know.

Yesterday I narrowed the issue down to what was causing the Google Mobile-Friendly test to fail, which passed earlier when the Speed Booster Pack was activated. Perhaps a recent plugin update caused a conflict.

My final assessment of the issue came after deactivating all plugins, which narrowed down three plugins: Meta Slider, Autoptimize, and Speed Booster that appeared to cause the Mobile-Friendly test to fail.

Long story short. When trying different combinations of settings for the above plugins and going through the deactivate/reactivate process, I found a solution that allows the Google Mobile-Friendly test to pass consistently.

One issue was the Autoptimize plugin that caused the Mobile-Friendly test to fail. After unchecking the box for “Save aggregated script/css as static files?” Under “Cache Info,” the Mobile-Friendly test passed time and time again, with Speed Booster deactivated. So I have the Metal Slider and Autoptimize plugins activated and the test passes every time.

The other issue is the Speed Booster plugin which I deactivated the other day. Just to make sure I was right, I reactivated the Speed Booster plugin today and the test failed again. I tried different settings and the test failed every time.

As of now, I’m not going to use Speed Booster anymore and keep using Autoptimize and Metal Slider, along with W3TC and Cloudflare. Things are working great with what I have going now.

    Update:

I decided to give Speed Booster another try before deleting it. I reactivated the plugin and left the following boxes unchecked that caused some issues earlier:

    * Move scripts to the footer
    * Load JS from Google Libraries
    * Defer parsing of javascript files

All other boxes are checked (enabled)

After going through many trials and errors with plugin settings and deactivating/reactivating Autoptimize, Speed Booster, W3 Total Cache, and Cloudflare, It appears I found the right settings for each plugin, whereas Speed Booster and Autoptimize are no longer causing the Google Mobile-Friendly test to fail.

As of now this issue is resolved.
