Spectra update problems – my temporary fix

  • BSF support advised me: to go into the dashboard and add: ?spectra_old_user=yes after the URL in the dashboard. I did this but all my sites were still messed up with many blocks failing on mobile view.

    The only way I got this fixed (temporarily) is by rolling back Spectra to version 1.25.6, which is Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg. I used the plugin WP Rollback for this. I then disabled auto updates on the UAG plugin. What a mess.

    I don’t have the time to trawl through hundreds of posts on multiple websites in an attempt to get my head around Spectra, a plugin which has been forced upon me.

    Hey guys,

    I just wanted to say; that we’re sad that this update has caused you issues.

    Our team worked hard, tried its best to make it a smooth transition from prior versions to 2.0, and ran an extensive public beta testing program for several weeks.

    However, it seems we could not test all these possibilities. We’re so sorry for the trouble.

    If you guys could help us understand the problems and provide steps to replicate them with some screenshots or videos, we would really appreciate it.
