Specify Pages/CPTs posts

  • Is there any change in progress to specify building only specific pages or cpt posts and it’s child urls?

    It would also be helpful to be able to build CSS and JS separately as well.

    Basically, this would allow for different zips to be created and broken out to for specific needs. Currently I am building only certain sections of a site to send to a mobile app, and have the css/js in one main build and the different sections to allow users to download only one at a time as needed as opposed to waiting for the whole site to download from one very large zip.

    I can provide some details on this if necessary as to how I’ve modified the plugin so it does exactly what I need it to do. The problem is, it’s specific to my need and not a global solution for all users.

    That’s a use-case that I haven’t heard before. It almost sounds like you need something like the ability to set up distinct jobs for Simply Static to perform, where each job processes a certain set of files.

    I don’t presently have plans to do something like that, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind if I start hearing similar requests.
